Energy Efficiency, Climate Change, and Carbon Footprinting & Carbon Management Services
I.E.M.A. professionally recognised Auditor expertise since 1994 and involvement in Best Practice Envirowise programme for 10 years - ensures unique auditing and technical skills to deliver optimum energy solutions, efficiencies, carbon reductions, cost savings and associated environmental benefits
The need for any company to deliver greater energy efficiency and/or reduction in its carbon footprint may be driven by a number of factors:
Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) Energy Efficiency Scheme
Customer supply chain requirements
Emissions Trading
Environmental Policy and/or CSR commitments
Internally-driven Energy Efficiency / Cost Saving initiatives
Whatever the driver, Ecolibrium's Services provide a framework within which any business can optimise energy consumption, process / service output and progress to low-carbon / lower cost operation:
- Initial Energy Audit and Review
- Full existing energy consumption / greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions analysis and quantification (Carbon Footprint Analysis), across Scope 1, 2 and/or 3 GHG emissions, to recognised standards; eg. PAS 2050, ISO 14064
- Energy Efficiency / Carbon Reduction Audits; identification of all efficiency / carbon reduction / cost saving opportunities
- Technical and Economic Viability Assessment of all identified efficiency measures, and any renewable energy and/or low-carbon technology options (full tendering, proposal evaluation, procurement and implementation assistance, if required)
- Energy / Carbon Management Programmes to facilitate ongoing management and optimisation of benefits; stand-alone or within existing Management Systems (eg. ISO 14001)
- Carbon Offset Guidance (as Best Practice dictates, very much a final consideration only after all elimination and reduction opportunities implemented)
Most projects involve the consideration of associated energy consumption / carbon footprint, but projects primarily involving energy / carbon management have been undertaken for Scotland’s very smallest organisations to some of the largest, including:
